Do Visitors Find It Easy to Share Your Blog?
[This post is a part of the Feedback Fridays series]

The social web is powered by content. It’s what we search for with Google. It’s what we produce every time we update our status. And it’s why we share with each other online.
There are a ton of social sharing tools available out there, and while I’m sure we’ll talk about a lot of them, the focus of this post is to explore whether or not your visitors find it easy to share your blog with their network of friends, connections, or associates across the various social networks.
A lot of blogs could improve here.
Post a link to your blog in the comments section below and I’ll take a look at your blog — I’ll follow up with a reply to your comment with any number of the following things in mind:
- Are you sharing buttons prominently positioned?
- Do you offer sharing buttons for your front page?
- How about each post?
- Are your buttons positioned at the header, the footer, or both header and footer of each post?
- Do your buttons take a while to load?
- Is the design of your buttons simple or distracting?

My personal blog is http://www.thebrandevangelist.co.za. Please take a look at it.
Hey Arthur — nice work!
I really like the G+ box in your sidebar — I actually just added this to my own blog yesterday.
I like how your front page isn’t plastered with various social buttons … keeping it simplified to one network — one place you’d like to build your social following — seems like a smart strategy. That said, you clearly make it easy for people to share your content with the sexy bookmarks plugin at the footer of each post (one of my favorites!)
Great work, Arthur, thanks for sharing it with us.
Thats an interesting idea, I’d be very grateful for any tips or suggestions :) thanks very much!

Hey Simon,
The link you shared doesn’t seem to be working — feel free to repost another.
I tweeted it for you as well :)
Thanks — it helps us out a lot!
I am new to blogging so if you could take a look at my blog i would be grateful. Thanks
Hey Dianne,
The blogger setup doesn’t provide much in terms of customization, but you do have your social buttons in place at the foot of your posts, so that’s good. And you’ve also included links to your Facebook pages and what not, so I’d say you’re definitely on the right track.

Hello Christopher, please take a look at mine at http://elishares.com and http://blogtau.com
Cheers.
Elisha — thanks for sharing your blog with us.
From what I can see, you’ve included your social buttons clearly in the sidebar, enabling people to connect with your blog through other platforms — great job there.
I also found your tweet button at the foot of your posts with ease. I wonder if you might be able to benefit from those other platforms as well though by including a few more options for your readers, such as the share/send button for facebook and the +1 button from G+ … have you tried including social buttons there?
This would help enable people to share your content easily, which in turn helps you build exposure.
