Is Your Post Footer Interesting?

A lot of stress is placed upon the actual content of a blog, which makes sense considering that’s what readers are looking for, but what about that little place just below the content of your post?
The post footer is where bloggers have the opportunity to turn a first-time visitor into a subscriber, customer, or friend depending on your goals.
While listing relevant content can lead to additional page views, it might be more beneficial to promote your newsletter, your ebook, or your subscription options — this can be especially helpful if you’re trying to set yourself apart from the rest of the voices in your niche.
Furthermore, with so many ebooks and courses and newsletters available, it’s important to think about how you can make this portion of your blog more interesting … more compelling to the reader.
Does your post footer stand out?
I’d love to open this up and explore the post footers in your blogs? What’s working and what isn’t?

While I like the Last Five section of our footer, the Meta section is useless to visitors and we don’t utilize our links section.
If I were to redo it today, there would be better links to our content and better links to our social media pages.
It’s unlikely visitors will get to the overall footer according to eye tracking studies … I was thinking more in terms of your actual post footer — between the last sentence of your post and the first comment.
Thanks Patrick
I’ve added a footer to my site that seems to work well. I have a banner that is noticable after my share buttons. It draws attention to other options and solves an issue of my theme, scrolling to leave a new comment. It has worked well, I have added uma codes to the links so I can see in Google Analytics if it works. People are clicking and it is keeping them engaged.
