Darn helpful. It would have been even MORE helpful if I'd stumbled across it before I started my own blog. As it was, when I took on the project of mine, I was completely on my own. I knew nothing; I had no other friends or writer acquaintances that had blogs - no one to give me solid advice. I remember thinking it was stupid that no one I knew had thought of blogging yet, because blogging is such a good way to put yourself out there, but.... It ended up that I was the one who took on the task of forging the path within my circle of aspiring writers. And since I only started this forging a few months ago... I still don't know how I'm doing. (I don't have much traffic at all, which would lead me to think I'm doing poorly, but it could just be I haven't built up enough posts yet?) The good news is that when I checked my first post against the advice written here, well... turns out I might have managed okay by myself. I think. I'm still lacking total certainty.
